For year 2018 from January to June, President Tay reported that FIP had a revenue of 217,000 CHF, excluding 44,900 CHF paper gain from investments.
Due to the demise of Aerophilately Chairmen Mr Ross Wood in early 2018, the current secretary Mr Norman Banfield has been appointed by the Board to become the Acting Chairman until the next Commissions elections in 2020. It was also approved by the Board members that Mr Michael Lin Mao-Hsin from Chinese Taipei, who was the current bureau member, shall be appointed the Acting Secretary of the Commission.
The Board members approved unanimously the following jury apprentices of PRAGA 2018:
The approved jurors for Cross Accreditation were: Sedlak Jiri from Czech Republic for Literature Class and Danforth Walker from USA for Traditional (America) Class.
Director Chirakiti updated that the selection and acceptance of exhibits were almost finalised, and the exhibition would have a maximum of 2,600 frames. The Palmares night would be held on December 2 night, after the 75th FIP Congress. On December 3, the Feedback Session would be held in the morning and at 3pm there would be a Ceremony for H.R.H Princess Maha Chakri Sirindorn to award a congratulatory note for the 3 Grand Prix winners.
Upon official confirmation of this exhibition, the IREX shall be released and details of exhibits application would be made available. All Commissioners should arrive Wuhan via Hong Kong, Singapore and Bangkok and not though the customs of other Chinese cities, for ease of customs clearance.
FIP also received letters on two upcoming Specialised World Stamp Exhibitions in 2021 requesting for FIP Patronage namely:
i) IBRA 2021 to be held in Essen, Germany;
ii) South Africa 2021 to be held in Cape Town, South Africa
