Grand Prix Awards BOSTON 2026

After 6 days of jury work by more than 40 international FIP accredited jurors,  a total of 59 Large Gold medals and 167 Gold medals were awarded at the BOSTON 2026 General World Stamp Exhibition.

There was only one Grand Prix National Award candidate and the prize went to Vernon R Morris, Jr. (USA) for his exhibit “Transition of American Mail from British Colonial to USPO: 1685 to 1799”.

Four candidates were selected by the International Jury team for the Grand Prix International (GPI) prize and they were:

The GPI and GPH winners were announced at the Palmares Dinner on 29 May 2026 by counting of votes.

The GPI award went to David L. Hobden for his exhibit “In Defence of the Border – Canadian Military Mails 1667-1885”.

Congratulations to Dr Alfred Schmidt for winning the Grand Prix d’Honneur prize with his exhibit “Prussia: The First Three Issues 1850-59”.
